FREELAND AND GORDON OUT - BUT TV DEAL ANNOUNCED

The news we broke a few weeks ago - that Joel Freeland will miss this summer's GB games - has been confirmed. The 23-year-old forward will instead try to rehab following an injury picked up at Unicaja Malaga.

Meanwhile, NBA guard Ben Gordon has also been ruled out of action. The Detroit Piston is struggling to overcome the effects of an ankle operation he had in May to remove fragments of bone. It is the third successive year that the London-born baller has pulled out of the GB line-up.

Ben Gordon has made the strongest indication yet that he will not recover in time from ankle surgery to play for GB this summer.
