HOOPSTALK GOES GLOBAL
02/15/2010

Footlocker House Of Hoops stores around the world linked up on All-Star Saturday for a special "HoopsTalk" event - giving people the chance to quiz their favourite NBA players.

Guys like LeBron James, Pau Gasol and Paul Pierce sat on stage in Dallas, taking questions via video link from stores in New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris.

With questions like "why did you start playing basketball" and "how does it feel to be an all-star" regularly featuring, it goes without saying that there were no juicy revelations.

There were, however, a number of gaffes. Jewish rookie Omri Caspi was asked "coming from Israel, how does it feel to be playing in the Mecca of basketball?" - I kid you not!

And as Shannon Brown unveilved his customized Kobes he said "the Kobes are low cut, but have an extra bit so you don't roll your ankle"...hmmm....so I guess we dreamed Mamba busting his shit the other day and missing the All-Star Game as a result?!!?

I will say this though - House of Hoops is pretty deep. They have a SERIOUS basketball sneaker collection there...and with bare throw-back Jordans, it was like a trip down memory lane for me. They were also selling the special All-Star Nike colourways...and whilst I'm not sure about the pinky/red ones, the blue ones were kinda cold! If you want a pair you'd better get on it quick before they're gone.
