k1x - you may have heard of them. They're a basketball clothing and sneaker company based in Munich ...and their stuff is serious.
I've been down with these guys for a while. Back when I used to run Streetball.co.uk, I went out to Germany a few times to hook up with them. On one trip, I took a couple of players to join their team competing in the NBA 5 on 5 Challenge finals. It was a BIG weekend - which, amongst other things, involved a night-time all-star game at Germany's most exclusive nightspot, P1.
Anyway, I can honestly say - hand on heart - that their clothes are the best-looking basketball threads I've ever seen. If you've ever peeped me at a basketball event, you'll know that I wear their stuff all the time.
So, I'm glad to announce that two new k1x lines will be available in UK stores this summer and autumn.
First up is their World B Free collection.
It's dedicated to Lloyd Bernard Free - better known as World B Free - the high-flying, even-higher-scoring NBA star of the 1970s...whose "bald-at-the-front, 'fro-at-the-back" hairdo made him one of the most recognisable players of his generation.

The collection includes a special edition of k1x's famous "Chiefglider" on-court shoe:
Their colourful "Don't Call It A Comeback" sneaker:
And their "Meet the Parents" off-court creps (which actually work pretty well on-court...see Stuart Tanner v Devin Harris on YouTube).
Along with the footwear are some rather funkadelic threads too.
Meanwhile their FNCTN collection is also about to drop. In true k1x fashion, this range features some dope designs (I've gotta cop this T-shirt):
And you know these guys are ballers just by the fact that they put pockets on their shorts. Only proper playground players would understand the importance.
Stay tuned for details of where to get all this stuff this summer. Or, you you can't wait, head on over to Kickz.com now and order online.
